I got this as a birthday gift for my husband. We’ve put together a few of these wooden 3D puzzles and the finished outcomes are always worth it. This one in particular, was very different. The difficulty is definitely higher than some of the others we’ve done but this lights up and is a music box AND it has pieces that connect and spin! The whole thing is just so well put together. I love every little detail. It came with wax, sandpaper, a mini screwdriver, extra screws, extra wooden pieces, diamond pieces. My only note to others is make sure you have something small enough to cut the metal pieces out! They don’t pop out of the sheets like the wooden ones do. Overall, absolutely love this piece. I hope it lasts us a very long time!

This beautifully designed piece was a blast to put together, and for each component that I was putting together I was only thinking, dear lord this is elegant
The music box I received played Serenade by Schubert/Lizst, but the gears that turn while the music plays really puts the cherry on top of this fine display
Now, there were a couple of pieces that were incorrectly cut, which required me to carve/shape the attaching gear with a blade but that was 2 out of about 200 pieces, so all things considered it was fine. I also found one of the golden metal frames had bent out of shape affecting one component, when I received the package, but I would attribute that more to a transportation mishap
Finally, I did purchase the storage base with the main piece, but it is a little bit extra. I feel that the main music box on its own is great as a stand-alone gift, especially since you have to take the main body off the base to wind the music box anyway
In conclusion, I highly recommend the music box as a gift or even as a personal treat. Just make sure to have your own tools, be resourceful and flexible if some pieces are a little bit off
