If a part from your CraftDIYKit kit is damaged in transit or accidentally damaged while you’re assembling or using it, we can help with replacement parts.
Damage in transit
Once we confirm from your photos that the damage happened in transit, we’ll cover the cost of both the replacement parts and shipping.
Accidental damage during assembly or use
- First request for accidental damage on an order. Wooden replacement parts are free. You pay only for shipping. For motors, light sets, circuit boards, wires, and other functional parts, you pay for both the parts and shipping.
- Second or later request for accidental damage on the same order. You pay for both the replacement parts and shipping, including for wooden parts.
Only requests for accidental damage count toward the total for each order.
Replacement parts with your next order
If we can ship the replacement parts with your next order, we may waive the related charges, depending on which parts you need.
What we need to review your request
Please follow each requirement below. Having all the details and clear photos from the start helps us confirm the right parts sooner so you can get back to finishing your kit.
We need your original order number and a written list of each part number and quantity, such as A12 × 2 and B05 × 1. The written list is required even if the part numbers are visible in the photos.
All three photos are required:
- The instruction manual. Show where the part appears in the manual, with the part number clearly readable.
- The damaged part. Show the whole part and where it’s damaged.
- All the materials and parts you received. Lay them out together in one photo so each piece is clearly visible.
We’ll review the damage, check that the part numbers match your kit, and confirm any charges before arranging shipment. If we need a closer look, we may ask for another photo, a video, or more details.
