I found some of the pieces difficult to remove from the surrounding wood Also I realise that the pieces need to connect together securely but I found that brute strength was needed to put the pieces together being always fearful that a piece could be broken & at times I had to ask a stinger person to help That said I am sure that when I complete the box I shall feel very happy with it

I really enjoyed making this telephone.The instructions were easy to follow.I did find the slatted wood that goes around the earpiece too fragile ,so easy to break even when being careful. It is good to be given extra pieces but once again, too easy to break .

I bought this as a present for my wife who has been to the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. She loved it and this was an opportunity to remanence. She was a teacher for over 30 years in the grade, middle, and high schools. Her feeling is that the level needed to complete this puzzle would be 12 and up. And at that, the child would have to have an interest, patience, and attention span needed for the project and an ability to follow pictorial instructions without language commentary.The kit is created on a series of thin wood boards that have been precut and ready to punch out for assembly. It would have been easier to assemble if all the parts for one section were bunched together on one or two boards but unfortunately, they are scattered, and you'll need to be careful to ensure you have the right piece for a given step or picture illustration. Only punch out what you need. For example, picture diagram A has six parts. Only punch out those.
As you punch things out, write on the back side the part number as it is easy to get them mixed up and reversed. For example, write 93 and 94 on the respective parts as you punch them out for diagram A.C. If a part doesn't seem to fit where you think it should, reverse or flip it and it may well go into place. Use the provided sandpaper to gently remove rough edges.E. Although tempting, refrain from using glue until you are almost done with the model. You'll have a big problem if you glue a piece in the wrong place.F. Some pieces will need gentle pressure to get them to snap into place. Be careful since two much pressure could break the thin wooden piece. Sandpaper may be needed here.G. A magnifying glass may be helpful in reading the lightly printed numbers on the wood. Remember to mark the piece because once it is punched out you won't have any reference to the part number.H. If a piece falls out of the wood template sheets prematurely, tape it in place or you may not remember the part number, especially if you didn't mark the part number.The lights will add an interesting look to the model. We already have a place designated for it on our bookshelf.

This is not only a great puzzle to build, but also very nice as a decorative lamp in your room. I like the level of brightness of the various LED bulbs that you place inside the building during construction of the puzzle. It is also great that is uses a low power consumption via the USB plug. The only improvement that I can suggest for future models is to add in an on/off switch on the USB cord and possibly make the cord a bit longer.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter who is a musician as well as an avid puzzle-lover. To say it’s gorgeous is an understatement. The details of the wood designs are stunning and I will be ordering other puzzles as well for all of us to put together…together.

Fully corresponds to the description. The parcel arrived intact. Excellently designed gift box. Fully painted model. Clear, color-coded instructions. A very interesting time.

As this was a first time building something like this, it took me about 10 hours. Instructions are fairly straightforward but you must follow closely or you’ll have issues in later steps. All in all I’m really happy with the end results and would encourage anyone to try this for their first kit. Not only was it fun to assemble, it looks great and functions quite nicely!

Great model to do very fiddly so you need a lot of patience,if your eyesight is not good a magnifying glass would be an advantage because some parts are tiny.

There are two points where tle parts are a little loose. BUT! It's actually good. In case of falling ore something the scoop will first detach itself and it should easy survive a fall

I had tu change that special plastic scoop part to actually have a really working scope.

I have been doing miniatures all my life and have to say that this is probably one of my favorite mini projects of all time. The one I completed is Happy Corner.

I bought this for a very bright 10 year old boy I have been tutoring as a reward for all his hard work. His Dad told me he assembled it by himself as soon as they got home.
He loved it and I will definately get him another for his birthday.

Perfect for my older brother. So I'd imagine he spent hours last Christmas trying to put this together.
You don't NEED tools, but I would suggest a clean surface, magnit, magnifying glass, and a tweezers.

The directions are easy to follow but be careful and look closely at the pictures. It helps to look ahead too to see what the finished section looks like when complete. My wife was so impressed with the Taj Mahal she has placed it on a favorite shelf so everyone can see it. I really enjoyed this puzzle and have already ordered two more sets to keep me busy in my retirement. I thought the engineering of these puzzles is ingenuous. I hope you come up with more types to keep me busy for the nexrt 20 years.
